Description
This falchion is also a comission for a friend. It is a sidearm as addition for the partisan. It has an engraving with the same symbol for the "Bringers of Morning an Evening" as the partisan has it.
The core staff has 8x10 mm, the crossguard is fortified with zipties so it is stiff and fully usable in fight. The point is also fortified with zipties, because of the curved back there would be too less foam on the core. So the core tip is a bit away from the point and the ziptie fortifies the coreless part. The hilt is weighted. Although it is not good to see on the pic the widest point of the blade on the tip is 5 cm wide, at the crossguard it is 4 cm wide.

I´m no expert, but wouldn´t "Langes Messer" be a more appropriate title? I know, it is missing a Nagel, but otherwise the narrow blade and the pommel suggests exactly that to me. As far as I know the main difference between a falchion and a Messer is the construction of the hilt, with the falchion being more swordlike.
